Diana_S_Ali_Dr. Diana Ali, the Clinical Director at Resolutions Therapeutic Services, is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years of experience in the mental health field. Her areas of expertise include the treatment of mood, personality, and trauma related disorders. Dr. Ali has served on treatment teams across the continuum of care including residential, inpatient, partial hospital (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and outpatient treatment centers.   She has worked extensively with trauma survivors and with adults who suffer from chronic emotion dysregulation, suicidal, and self-injurious behaviors; as well as co-occurring eating and substance use disorders.

Dr. Ali specializes in providing evidenced based treatments including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), The Dialectical Behavior Therapy-Prolonged Exposure Protocol (DBT-PE) for PTSD, and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD. Dr. Ali also incorporates psychoeducational and body-based techniques from Sensorimotor psychotherapy and the Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM). 

Dr. Ali received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Rosemead School of Psychology. She completed her post-doctoral fellowship and APA accredited internship at Princeton Healthcare System in Princeton, N.J., where she received specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and treatment of complex trauma and dissociative disorders. Dr. Ali was intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy by Dr. Charlie Swenson and has previously served as a DBT therapist on comprehensive DBT treatment teams at Clearview Treatment Programs and Princeton House Behavioral Health. Dr. Ali was trained in the DBT-PE protocol and in Cognitive Processing Therapy by the original treatment developers, Drs. Melanie Harned and Patricia Resick.

Dr. Ali has presented at national and international conferences on topics related to treatment of individuals with complex trauma. As a staff therapist at Oregon State University's Counseling and Psychological Services, Dr. Ali served as a member of the Sexual Assault Support Services team, providing crisis intervention and ongoing therapy for survivors of interpersonal violence, and consultation and education to the campus community. She also facilitated Psychological Assessment and DBT seminars for psychology interns and provided a DBT course for the psychiatry residency program at Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis, Oregon. 

At Resolutions Therapeutic Services, Dr. Ali provides DBT informed individual therapy, facilitates DBT Skills Group, and offers clinical support and oversight to the treatment team.
