gina minGina Minardi is a Clinical Art therapist with a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Loyola Marymount University. Gina received her Bachelors in Fine Art from UCSD. Gina spent six months traveling through Central America and teaching art to homeless youth in Nicaragua. This truly sparked the connection for Gina that art can often communicate, what gets lost in words and typical defenses.

Gina worked as an art therapist at Los Angeles Youth Network, providing individual assessments, therapy, and groups to at risk youth in the foster care system. Gina facilitated group therapy at Daniel’s Place, working with adults struggling with early onset of schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder, and major depression.

Gina has a private practice Mindful Therapeutics, which pushes the traditional therapeutic paradigm. Meeting clients on the beach, a hiking trail, and in the water, she consistently witnesses the profound effect of nature on her patients. Gina incorporates Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt, and Psychodynamic elements into her practice.

Gina co-founded Seakher, a women’s only retreat that focuses on empowerment, mindfulness, community, and surfing. Gina is also a Mindfulness group facilitator for Saltwater Sessions, a unique program that helps individuals continue their path with sobriety, through the rush of surfing and Mindfulness techniques.
