Lynne BidwellLynne Bidwell is a licensed marriage and family therapist serving individuals, couples, and families. Lynne’s passion for her work comes from her clients and helping them with their current problems and longstanding patterns in a caring, nonjudgmental, and insightful way.

Lynne holds a master’s degree in clinical psychology and a certificate in dispute resolution (mediation) from Pepperdine University. She has worked at a community mental health center in Los Angeles; at two Los Angeles public schools; with mentally ill adults in a residential setting in Venice, CA; and as a volunteer mediator with several Los Angeles area courts. She has co-facilitated community counseling, domestic violence, expectant teen mothers, mindfulness, and parenting groups. Lynne has an integrative approach to helping her clients including attachment theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, family systems theory, mindfulness, object relations, psychodynamic, and solution-focused therapy.

Some of her areas of specialty include the following: trauma and PTSD; couples and relationship challenges; creative and entertainment industry backgrounds; career transitions; emotional difficulty; and family members of the mentally ill. Lynne has received specialized trauma training including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM), and Community Resiliency Model (CRM). She has earned a certificate of completion in domestic violence training from the California Association of Batterers Intervention Program.

In addition to her interest in psychology, Lynne has done humanitarian work while living and working abroad.
