
Doctor Strang holds a doctorate in psychology from Pepperdine University where he specialized in both Psychodynamic and Existential / Humanistic psychotherapies. His dissertation was titled “Metaphor and the Verbalization of Affect”. Doctor Strang has been providing individual and group psychotherapy in residential settings for the past decade and specializes in trauma and mood disorders. Doctor Strang is a practical clinician who draws from an array of psychological approaches to assist patients in achieving their goals. In addition to being practical, his therapeutic approach is aimed at understanding and integrating the dissonant thoughts and feelings at the core of most problems. He has an extensive background in residential treatment and draws on a wide range of training and experience in the application of psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, existential-humanistic, and developmental approaches in the treatment of trauma.
