Emily Cohen started in the Behavioral Health Field in 2006 at a well known Southern California dual diagnosis and mental health treatment program. She worked closely with the founder to create a program where clients and their families could heal and recover. Emily is passionate about recovery and helping people to find a “life worth living.”

After majoring in Sociology at The Evergreen State College in Washington State, Emily pursued counseling and non-profit administration for local mental health and drug treatment facilities. From 1997-2001, Emily worked for a social service agency where she honed her administrative and human resources skills, placing therapists and social workers in hospitals and various mental health settings. From 2001-2006, she worked as a paralegal, supporting a dynamic team of attorneys.

In 2006, Emily hit a career crossroads where she contemplated between pursuing a law degree or a career in mental health. She was hired as Administrative Director of the dual diagnosis and mental health treatment program and has never looked back.

Emily is the proud mother of an adult daughter and a teenage son. When she is not working, you will probably find Emily riding her bike on PCH in preparation for an Ironman triathlon or watching her son compete at tennis tournaments across Southern California.
