Mary Ann Rege, M.A., is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with an LGBTQ+ Specialization. In her work with individuals and groups, Mary Ann takes a whole person approach through Mindfulness-Oriented and Affirmative Psychotherapies. She is a Trained HealthRHYTHMS® and SoulCollage® Facilitator who utilizes empowerment drumming and Jungian-based art modalities to expand well-being beyond what one has ever imagined. As a Trained Mindfulness Facilitator from UCLA’s Mindful Awareness Research Center, coupled with her mindfulness training from UCSD, Mary Ann passionately teaches others how to reduce anxiety, improve mood, step out of habituated behavior, and make skillful, healthy choices. She blends classical teachings drawn from her training in Kyoto, Japan with secular mindfulness, compassion practices, and cognitive behavioral therapy. Her greatest desire is to help others achieve inner peace and harmony so that their “boat stays afloat no matter the size of the wave.” Mary Ann also believes everyone would benefit greatly from owning a whoopie cusion.
