Treza Mirakhor, licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, earned her Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the California State University Northridge. She trained at the Southern California Counseling Center for Three years and was supervised in various modalities including Psychodynamic, Emotion-focused, Attachment-focused, Family Systems, and Narrative therapy. Treza completed a yearlong training with the Trauma Resource Institute, learning about mindfulness and body-based therapies as well as receiving EMDRIA approved EMDR training. She has focused the last 2 years of her work on Trauma recovery and works with clients from a collective approach that combines EMDR, Body-based therapies with Talk-therapy.
When working with clients, Treza employs an integrative and intersubjective approach that takes into account the client-therapist relationship. She helps clients find relief and inner peace by identifying and exploring the effects of past trauma on their current relationships.
Treza treats individuals, couples, and families. Her research and training on life transitions, immigration and self-esteem allows her to bring a multicultural understanding and sensitivity into her work with clients from all walks of life.
