Clients doing IOP or OP have the option of doing all one-on-one sessions or all group sessions, though we generally recommend a combination thereof. In the PHP program, half of the sessions that clients receive during the week are individual sessions, including multiple individual therapy sessions with a licensed psychotherapist or board-certified psychiatrist. For example, if someone is doing 30 clinical hours per week, 15 of those hours are individual while the other 15 hours are group. The other non-psychotherapy individual sessions include nutrition counseling, life coaching, recovery coaching, yoga, acupuncture, mindfulness meditation, art therapy, recovery fitness, spiritual counseling, case management, and neurofeedback.

Group psychotherapy is a very useful treatment modality and an essential part of any effective treatment. That is why Resolutions and just about every other reputable treatment center throughout the country incorporate group therapy as part of their curriculum. We at Resolutions offer our clients a variety of groups from which to choose, with most being optional. 22 of the 25 groups we offer to clients are co-ed, which allow for discussion and collaboration between the genders on topics relating primarily to interpersonal relationships. The three gender-specific process groups are designed to strengthen bonds between same-sex peers.

Integrative medicine, also referred to as integrated medicine and integrative health, is the combination of practices and methods of alternative medicine with conventional biomedicine. It emphasizes treating the whole person, with a focus on wellness and health rather than treating disease and on the patient-doctor relationship. Holistic health is a diverse field in which many techniques and therapies are used. It reaffirms the importance of the relationship between practitioner and patient, is informed by evidence, and makes use of all appropriate therapeutic approaches, healthcare professionals and disciplines to achieve optimal health and healing. At Resolutions, the emphasis is on the entire person (bio-psycho-socio-spiritual model) and not just on their symptoms or presenting problems (e.g., addiction, depression, anxiety, etc.).

We are not in-network with any insurance panels, but we are an out-of-network provider with most all PPO plans and provide courtesy billing. Our insurance team submits claims on behalf of clients and families, using the necessary PHP and IOP codes. Clients with PPO insurance have had a lot of success receiving partial to full reimbursement for our PHP & IOP programs. As a courtesy to clients. one of our clinical staff conducts a utilization review and obtains pre-auhtorization when necessary, though it is the responsibility of the patient to clarify with our insurance coordinator and their insurance company their benefits and coverage for an out-of-network provider. Resolutions does not guarantee any insurance reimbursement. At Resolutions, we believe that treatment decisions should be made by licensed clinicians, not insurance companies, who often dictate how often patients should be seen as well as the duration of treatment. Our team will help clients and their families navigate this process by communicating with insurance companies and trying to obtain pre-authorization when necessary.

The cost for each person’s individualized program at Resolutions will vary depending on recommended level of care, including which services will be included as well as frequency of sessions. Cost is determined after a client comes in for a free one-hour initial assessment by the executive director and/or clinical director, both of whom are licensed psychologists.

Not necessarily. Many clients who have come to Resolutions for an initial assessment were determined to need a higher level of care. Some of these cases include individuals who were found to be a danger to themselves or others. Psychiatric facilities and hospitals are recommended in those situations. Other times clients are coming in with chemical dependency issues and these clients do not have sufficient amounts of clean time to be appropriate for PHP/IOP/OP. Referrals for residential drug and alcohol treatment centers are provided in such cases so that clients can be medically supervised for their detoxification phase under 24-hour nursing care. PHP/IOP/OP is ideal for someone coming out of residential treatment and looking to step-down to a lower level of care.

Our Resolutions team works closely with several local transitional living homes, including Resolutions LIVING down the street, which is walking distance to our facility. These luxurious residences can provide safe and structured living accommodations while clients are in treatment with us. Although we do not require Resolutions clients to all live in sober living homes, we highly recommend it while they are in PHP or IOP levels of care. A lot of thought goes into where clients would best be matched, based on their age, gender, and presenting issues (e.g., primary mental health vs. substance abuse).

Resolutions has an alumni program for clients as well as families. Our alumni coordinator stays in close contact with alumni and notifies them all about scheduled alumni meetings and outings. The Resolutions family support group meets weekly and is facilitated by a licensed marriage and family therapist. Both of these ongoing supports are offered free of charge to remove barriers from clients and families receiving ongoing support over time.
